Comfortable grip, well finished overall. Blade seemed a little thick and not as sharp as I expected. A little whetstoning helped, but took some force to penetrate soft pine in my first attempt at chipcarving.

This is one of a number of knives in the Flexcut line. Being interested in woodcarving and generally in carving on a small scale these knives are impressive. the shaped handles are comfortable to hold while carving. The blades are extremely sharp as I would expect in a quality knife in this price range. I found no need to spend time dressing the blade to bring it up to my personal standards. I'd say these knives are more for the serious or experienced wood carver. If your new to "chip carving" you might start out with a good pocket knife of possibly a bench knife and add tools as you progress.
